LAWN WEED CONTROL
AND FERTILIZATION SERVICE
DETAILED SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS
Landscape Treatment Round 1 Service
includes 3 components in the application:
-
A horticultural oil that serves as both an insecticide and fungicide is applied to landscape plants and ornamentals.
-
A granular pre-emergent is applied to the landscape bedding areas to create a barrier that will prevent summer annual weed seeds from germinating.
-
A post-emergent herbicide is applied to the landscape area to kill any weeds that might currently be up and growing.
The instructions below are recommended for your protection and to optimize results.
-
STAY OUT OF LANDSCAPE AREA UNTIL DRY: It's always a good practice to keep children and pets out of your beds following an application until it is dry, which is typically within two hours.
-
WAIT BEFORE WATERING: In most cases, the chemicals will be rain fast two to six hours after application. However, it is optimum to wait 24 hours before watering to allow the plants and weeds sufficient time to uptake the chemicals.
-
WATER IN THE TREATMENT: After application, the landscape areas need to be watered within the next 13 days. The treatment needs to be watered in with at least a half-inch of water. This “watering in” is critical as it will move the chemicals from the mulch or rocks down into the top layer of soil to activate the pre-emergent and create a barrier to prevent most weed seeds from germinating. Failure to water this treatment in by means of natural rainfall or irrigation will result in a compromised barrier that will deteriorate faster, resulting in a higher chance for weed invasion.
